Coming from Jasper

If coming through Jasper National Park, proceed south on Hwy 93 to Saskatchewan River Crossing (153 km). Turn east (left) onto Hwy 11 and drive to the Hwy 11/Hwy 22 junction (174 km). Turn north (left) onto Hwy 22.

  • Drive north 11 km to the junction with Hwy 12.
  • Drive 1.6 km past the Echo Valley Canyon access road and the Grapevine Bed and Breakfast sign to the next left. The blue Timber Green B&B sign directs you to Township Road 40-5. Turn onto it and proceed west.
  • Drive past the mailboxes 1.6 km to a T-intersection (Rge Rd 7-4). Follow the Timber Green sign and turn south (left).
  • Drive 1 km into a cul-de-sac (Echo Valley Crescent). Timber Green Bed and Breakfast is #28.

If following the Yellowhead Highway (Hwy 16):

  • Proceed east to Edson (165 km) then continue east to Entwistle (97 km). Turn south (right) onto Hwy 22.
  • Follow Hwy 22 south past Drayton Valley where the highway bends east. It becomes Hwy 39 at a distance of 56 km from the Entwistle turnoff. Turn south (right) onto Hwy 22 in the direction of Rocky Mountain House.
  • Follow Hwy 22 south, past Hwy 13 (34 km) and Alder Flats, and past Hwy 53 (27 km more).
  • Proceed south on Hwy 22 for 25.2 km to Twp Road 40-5. As this intersection is approached, signs on the right advertising Jimbob Rentals are situated on the north and south ends of an open field. These are very hard to see in the dark but the Oras Communications sign further south is reflective as is the blue Timber Green B&B sign. The gravel road immediately past this sign on the right is Township Road 40-5. Turn west (right).
  • Drive past the mailboxes 1.6 km to a T-intersection (Rge Rd 7-4). Follow the Timber Green sign and turn south (left).

Coming from Edmonton

There are several ways to get to Timber Green Bed and Breakfast from Edmonton. If coming from Edmonton's west end, Spruce Grove or Stoney Plain, consider Hwy 60 south (the speed limits on this highway are enthusiastically enforced!) to the junction with Hwy 39. Turn west (right) and drive 80 km to Hwy 22. Turn south (left) onto Hwy 22.

If coming from south Edmonton, proceed 25 km south on Hwy 2 to Leduc. Take the Hwy 39 exit west (right) onto Hwy 39 and proceed 13 km to the Hwy 60/Hwy 39 junction. Continue west 80 km to Hwy 22. Turn south (left) onto Hwy 22.

  • Drive 1 km into a cul-de-sac (Echo Valley Crescent). Timber Green Bed and Breakfast is #28.

The prettiest route, however, is to proceed from Edmonton south on Hwy 2 for 120 km to the Hwy 12 turnoff near Lacombe. Turn west (right) and proceed west into the hills. As you overtop the last hill the view of the North Saskatchewan River valley and the Rockies beyond is breath-taking, especially near sundown.

From Hwy 2 to the end of Hwy 12 is 85 km where it terminates at Hwy 22. Turn north (right). A blue Timber Green B&B sign directs you north (right) near this intersection.

  • Drive 1.6 km past the Echo Valley Canyon access road and the Grapevine Bed & Breakfast sign to the next left.
